2023年8月6日在意大利举行的特伦蒂诺杯冠军赛，中国61-79不敌意大利，李凯尔迎来国家队首秀并砍下11分。

随后，李凯尔代表中国男篮征战了2023年男篮世界杯的比赛，中国和塞尔维亚、南苏丹和波多黎各同分在B组。最终男篮三战皆墨被淘汰，李凯尔在世界杯场均贡献13.0分5.6篮板3.4助攻1.0抢断。
